I started to use this app called Habit Tracker. It’s like a habit tracker, just so I will do more work, be more active. It’s just like a reminder notification but it’s an app with some fancy things so hopefully it will keep me in check more. Haha. It has been helping. I pause and write more(in my journal). I draw more, and also exercise for a bit(on and off). And also to update my Instagram account(which I have trouble doing). For the most part it has helped me to draw and write more. so I am hoping to be able to continue to do more.
I’ve recently rediscovered Pinterest. It’s a great place to look up ideas for the new house. I don’t really know what my main design goals are or aesthetic or something but I know I want to try something different maybe? This is our first house together, currently we are living with my mom at our family house which I grew up in(well from my teens till now) I’m going to be sad to leave, I’m already feeling nervous about having to leave but that’s the thing about changes I guess. We are still in the same area. We are just 15 minutes walk away. We’ll probably still be spending our time here from time to time. We’ve been involving E in our decision making(most of it) so as to get him used to the idea of us moving. So far he is excited to see the process of the renovation. And we talk a lot about moving, just so the idea is not foreign to him. I know it might probably be hard when we actually move and so we will try and remember to hold space for that when the time comes.
I think I spent so many hours now on Pinterest just looking to see if my choices are going to turn out ok :) A lot of overthinking things. But the main thing is that we just want the house to be liveable I guess. We bought a resale so a lot of things have to be changed. So that’s the bulk of the renovation, take out and change everything. We chose the house because of the location and also the one thing is that after seeing a few houses, this house was different. It had a different layout than the usual. And when I saw it, I was like this house is so cute. I don’t know. It was nice. The layout of the house, we are mostly keeping it the same, we like the layout, we also like what the previous owner did to the house with their cute niches and entrance, and kitchen window and door. I should probably make another post about the house :) I’ll try and remember.
But yes, that’s what we have been busy in, in June. lots of cake were eaten. we celebrated birthdays, father’s day, our wedding anniversary! Our 8th wedding anniversary! Can’t believe we have been married for 8 years. It has been a while huh. It’s strange to think. Life is a bit different for three of those years. We went through a lot, we are definitely more tired now. We are older. We are tired. haha I’m glad that we are still together, just keeping on, being each other’s partner. And soon, we’ll start another new experience in our new house which is exciting but also scary and I remember telling O that if it was just us two, it will probably be less scary to move because now there’s E, and we have to think about how it will affect him and we have to make space for all the big feelings instead of just ours. But as always we will be trying our best.
