oil pastels and distractions.

I meant to write today a few days ago but I got distracted. I started drawing the new ficus plant I got three days ago with oil pastels. I had a whole idea of how I want it to look and I actually managed to finish it. It turned out okay I guess.

Then I realised I am forgetting to drink the peach green tea that I brought in the room with me so I stopped, and then I realised there was oil pastels everywhere. On my cushion, on my phone, on the back of my arm and I realised I haven’t look up what’s the best way to contain these pastel dusts.

Then I got distracted by Pinterest and spent some time looking at oil pastels drawings which led to looking for more inspiration for a gallery wall or just bookshelves and then I got into looking at plants. Lots of distraction there.

I did finally get an almost big plant which we planted in the big planter. It’s looking good outside by the front door.

And then I remember that I should maybe try to update my Instagram page. and I did and it was ok. I always have a problem with updating because I overthink every picture, every word. and then I remembered it would be nice to listen to some music while having some quiet time in the room and I did and I listened for a tiny bit before realising that it is almost time to cook dinner so to the kitchen it is. I think this is my typical day really. Minus the ability to have a quiet time to do work. I was able to because it was the weekend. My days are usually filled with distractions from one thing to another. I can’t seem to concentrate and when I get the chance to, I get distracted. Even now, trying to finish this update, I get updated but I am determined to finish writing this weekly update. Creating some form of habit has been good I guess.

“Habits“ I have been continuing on so far ;

  • doing yoga every day

  • moisturising my face every night and day

  • updating this blog weekly

  • eating fruit every day

it’s not much but it’s something I guess :)

till next time, m
