Beautiful words, beautiful illustrations, beautiful books

E has always love talking walks outside, we were always happy to take him out, either to start the day or reset his day. He loves looking at plants, playing with sticks and leaves and anything he could find while outside. So I've always been on the lookout for nature related books to introduce to him. Instagram has been a great source of book ideas, mostly the homeschool parents' accounts. They are always recommending stuff and sometimes I will just look for inspiration on what I can introduce to E.

One of the books that I've kept in my growing list of books for E is Tree, which is illustrated by Britta Teckentrup and words by Patricia Hegarty.

I didn't know what to expect but the cover looks super nice and I once saw the other book by them, 'Moon' and the cover itself looks great and I was just intrigued to get it.

So I did, while scouring the Amazon app for books that are eligible for their 3 for 2 promotion. I was of course excited! It's been a while since I got E such a big haul of books so it's really fun, I got him Tree and Bee both by by Britta Teckentrup and Patricia Hegarty.

My favourite page from Bee. All the pretty flowers. And that one line, “For every plant and flower you see was given life by one small bee”.

And since I've already got two of it and I really like how the words flow together with the illustrations, I got Moon from the bookstore when I saw that it was available.

Now E has free reign mostly for his books ever since I put all of his books out on the shelves in the living room so he can pick and choose whichever books he wants to read when he's in the living room but he does have a small book corner in his room that is kind of curated weekly(usually to his interest or just reintroducing a book he has not been paying attention to for a while).

But back to beautiful books, so yes, so far, E likes the Tree one the best. Maybe because it's the first book I gave him from the series or maybe it's just because of the owl he likes to point out to :)

These books are beautiful to read and also to look at. Can't wait to read more of these books with E.

till next time, take care-m
