In the past month or so, or every once in a while I would be wondering if E is learning new things or being exposed to new things. Maybe he is learning new things every day or often but sometimes I feel this pressure to teach him things, or feel this worry that he is not learning as much as his peers who goes to school.
So yes what does this have to do with dinosaurs?
In the past few weeks, E kept bringing the same book to me to read to him and it was the Hello World : Dinosaurs.
I think it was our only book about dinosaurs. He likes it when I say their names. We have this book, quite early on and he didn't really show any interest in it. It comes in a box set, he will either go for the bugs or solar system more but now all he wants to read is the dinosaurs. So I am quite excited to help him immerse in the world of dinosaurs. And I also took it as a sign that he is ready to learn about dinosaurs.
When we were at the bookstore a few weeks back, we got him the Wimmelbook for Dinosaurs(should have another post about Wimmelbook series. Lots of dinosaurs featured but no information on them but still fun. They also provide a free digital poster download for all the names of the dinosaurs featured. So that's another fun thing. We have printed it out and E is always excited to look through the book together while referencing the poster for the names of the dinosaurs.
Excited to start with dinosaurs learning even more, we got him the Lift-the-flap Questions and Answers about Dinosaurs. We only got it in a few days ago but we’ve been enjoying reading it together with E even though he’s mostly enjoying lifting up the flaps now.
And to make it more fun for E, we got the Dinosaurs toobs together with some matching cards. It’s been a fun journey towards discovering the world of dinosaurs. There’s still so much to read about which is the fun part I guess.
